About

Travis Mathews is an award-winning filmmaker whose movies focus on gay men, emotional honesty and intimacy. His films have screened internationally, in festivals, on cable television and numerous blogs including Butt Magazine. He's been enthusiastically noted as an emerging filmmaker to watch by such diverse publications as MacLife, IndieWIRE and Fleshbot. In 2009 Travis started an ongoing video web series called In Their Room about gay men, bedrooms and intimacy. The first of several episodes was filmed in San Francisco, and earned him "best film" honors at Good Vibration's Indie Erotic Film Festival. Subsequent episodes will be filmed in cities around the world, the next of which is Berlin. During the making of the series Travis wrote his first feature screenplay, I Want Your Love, which is currently in pre-production. New episodes of In Their Room and production of I Want Your Love are expected in early 2011.
